West Ham’s captain Kevin Nolan has been impressed lately by young Dan Potts and particularly after his good performance at the Boleyn Ground against Manchester United in their FA Cup draw last Saturday.
Left back Dan Potts played very well against Fergie’s Red Devils at left-back in which the Hammers drew 2-2.
Kevin Nolan told the West Ham United official website:
“Pottsy (Dan Potts) had gone out to Colchester on loan to give him a bit more experience and he did well, which will stand him in good stead despite some tough results while he was there. But he came back, came straight into the team and was great.
“He is a fantastic lad to have around, on and off the pitch. He’s a real credit to the club, a lad you can rely on and his attitude is first-class. He belongs here with us and so hopefully he can only get better and better.”
We have to remember that Pottsy is only 18 years old and a current England U19 representative. To play against Manchester United the way he did for us was great and just goes to show what sort of talent we have hidden down at Upton Park.
The young defender can only go on to greater things and if Collins takes him under his wing and shows him the ropes, I think we may have a great club and international player in our midst.
What do you think of young Pottsy’s performance?
